Judicial review workshop at UK Council for International Student Affairs’ annual conference, University of Exeter

Thursday 29th June 2017: David Mitchell and Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP presented a seminar at UKCISA’s annual conference at the University of Exeter, considering the availability of judicial review and interim relief as remedies against the revocation of a Tier 4 Student Sponsor’s licence by the Home Office (UKVI). In what is an increasingly stringent regulatory regime, for a Higher Education Sponsor to lose its licence can have dire consequences for both the institution and the international students whose leave to remain in the UK is curtailed, often preventing the completion of their courses. David and Eversheds drew on their recent experience successfully challenging a number of revocations.
