New Court Fees from 25 July 2016

The pithily-titled Civil Proceedings, First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and Employment Tribunals Fees (Amendment) Order 2016 was made on 22 July 2016 and came into force on 25 July 2016, the first order from our new Lord Chancellor, Liz Truss.

 

The new fees payable for issuing proceedings and applications in the Civil Courts can be downloaded in full here. Here are some key changes:

 

Claim for a non-monetary remedy:

 High Court:                £528

County Court:              £308

 

Sealing a writ of possession:                        £66

TPDO or Charging Order:                            £110

Issue of a warrant of possession:                £110

Request for a default costs certificate:          £66

Request to set aside a default costs certificate: £121

 

Permission to apply for Judicial Review:      £154

Oral reconsideration hearing:                     £385

Upon the grant of Permission:                    £770 (less any oral hearing fee)

 

Issuing proceedings in the FTT (Property Chamber):  £100

Hearing Fee:                                                          £200
